Camden County, MO (March 31, 2021) – Wisper ISP, LLC has added a new tower to their existing network in Roach, MO. Eligible residents are now able to be set up for install.
The progress comes from a collaborative effort between Wisper and Camden County Commissioner Don Williams’ Internet Advocacy Group. Key members from the two groups have been working together since May 2020. The first large announcement from their alliance came in August 2020 when Wisper purchased Caller-IP.
When asked about the progress made, Wisper’s CEO and Founder, Nathan Stooke said, “It has been a pleasure to work with Commissioner Williams and his Internet Advocacy Group over the last several months. We encountered more hurdles than anticipated to deploy on Highway 7 Tower and appreciate the patience the group has shown. Their local insight has allowed us to make better decisions.”
The location of the new tower able to offer Internet speeds up to 100 Mbps is 6179 North State Highway 7, Roach, MO 65787. Fixed Wireless Technology uses elevated structures, such as water towers, cell towers, grain elevators, etc. to reach a resident’s home. Current capabilities do require the equipment on a resident’s roof to have ‘line of sight’ to the elevated structure. That means no trees or terrain can be blocking the visual path. A resident will reside no more than 3 -5 miles from the elevated structure to receive the desired signal strength.
Eligible residents will be able to receive the following speeds and prices:
